About Me
I started out in Oil & Gas before drifting into software a couple of years later. My background is in Instrumentation and Control.
I tend to build things when I run into problems, mostly out of curiosity and sometimes because it seems easier than finding an existing solution. Not all of those experiments go anywhere, but enough of them do.
Over the years, I’ve worked with different languages and tools, but I’ve never been particularly attached to any one of them. I’m more interested in getting something to work than in how it’s done.
Outside of work, I occasionally run tabletop RPGs and tinker with small ideas that may or may not be useful.
I like systems that behave predictably, and I tend to be suspicious of anything that only works in ideal conditions.
